Proudest tri moment My first time winning a podium spot at a local sprint tri - even though it was not a big race, it was pretty cool to be up there accepting an award!

Triathlete heros
  • my husband (who is doing IM Lou with me this year)!
  • Heather Gollnick, who seems to balance racing (and winning) so well with family
  • Natascha Badmann who always competes with grit and class and a winning smile
Favorite workouts
  • I have a hilly 8.5 mile loop at a local park that I love to run...it's tough but very scenic and always a challenging workout.
  • Any good, long open water swim with a bunch of tri friends, with breakfast (and coffee) afterwards.
Volunteering
  • animal rescue work/volunteering
When I'm not working out you can find me...
  • hanging out with my two adopted dogs, Snoopy and Patsy
  • experimenting in the kitchen (love to cook!)
  • reading just about anything
What I'd do if I won the lottery I'd quit my job immediately, travel around the world (hitting a lot of cool races on the way), start/help work at a dog rescue, and buy a sailboat.
Bonus Info I am always up for meeting new friends, taking on a new challenge, and accomplishing something I didn't think I could do.
